These problems are similar to those just encountered in G3. except the entities involved are discrete molecules in compounds rather than atoms or molecules of elements.  There is some overlap between G3. & G4: it makes little difference to the calculation if the molecules involved are those of a polyatomic element or else a covalent compound.
